Two Services
Our church has always cherished the joy of gathering as one body each Sunday to worship Jesus together. We believe that’s the ordinary biblical pattern for the church — one family, one gathering, one Savior.
But over the past few years, God has graciously continued to grow our church. Many Sundays, our sanctuary is close to full (and sometimes more than full!). While we’re deeply thankful for that, we also want to make sure there’s room for guests, new families, and those we’re reaching with the gospel.
So beginning January 11, 2026, we’ll be adjusting our Sunday morning schedule in order to create more space and opportunities for ministry.
THE NEW SCHEDULE
Sunday School: 8:30–9:30 a.m.
Worship Service 1: 9:45–11:00 a.m.
Worship Service 2: 11:15 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Both worship services will be identical in content and format, just slightly shorter than our current service to allow time for transitions between gatherings.
Preschool and kindergarten classes will now be offered for the full duration of each service, rather than dismissing partway through.
WHY WE’RE DOING THIS
This step isn’t a shift in philosophy — it’s a way to make room for what God is already doing among us. We see this as a temporary step of stewardship, not a permanent change of direction.
Our long-term goal is to gather again as one larger church family in a space that allows for that. Over the next year, we’ll begin planning and praying toward facility adjustments and a future capital campaign to make that possible.
NEW OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE
This new schedule also opens exciting new opportunities for service.
Until now, those who served in children’s ministry missed the main service that day — so we’ve kept rotations light. But with two services, members can now worship during one service and serve during the other.
We hope this change will make it easier for more people to serve regularly and joyfully, especially in our children’s ministry, so that every child and family is loved and cared for well.
